Government
The government in Qatar is constitutional monarchy. The Al Thani dynasty is taking care of Qatar’s politics since 1825, when the family house was established. The present Emir of Qatar is Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He took power on 25 June, 2013. Qatari law doesn’t give permission for formation of political bodies. There is no information on the income, expenditure, publicly owned assets and other information of Qatar’s finances. No one knows if the income is spent on public welfare or private issues.
History
Qatar was ruled by the Sheikhs of Bahrain once. In 1867, a huge war broke out between people and truant rulers. To maintain peace, British appointed Thani al-Thani as the ruler of the region and his descendants have been ruling Qatar ever since then. The major income of Qatar comes from oil and it is about 85%. Qatar is the birth place of Al-Jazeera, the hugely controversial Arabic satellite network.

- Qatar will host the FIFA world cup in 2022. It is going to build 12 eco-friendly iconic stadiums and this can populate around 80,000 people.
- The motocross championship of Qatar is very famous and this race is completely different from the regular ones as they involve some somersaults on motors that no one has ever seen.
- Weekends of Qataris falls on Fridays and Saturdays.
